TurboTax Refund Status Not Updating

How to fix it

1Check the IRS Where's My Refund tool

Go to the IRS Where's My Refund tool at irs.gov.
Enter your SSN, filing status, and exact refund amount.
Review the status, which moves through Return Received, Refund Approved, and Refund Sent.

2Allow normal processing time

Give the IRS time after acceptance before expecting updates; e-filed refunds commonly take a few weeks.
Check the IRS tool no more than once a day, since it updates on its own schedule.
Be patient if your return was filed early in the season or claims certain credits, which can add time.

3Confirm your return was accepted

In TurboTax, verify your federal return shows as Accepted, not just Submitted.
If it was rejected, fix the issue and re-file, since a rejected return won't generate a refund.
Once accepted, track the refund only through the IRS tool.
